The British & Irish Boxing Authority (BIBA) have arranged an Association of Professional Boxing Commissions (APBC) Certified Cut\/Corner Course, at the Stanley Street Sports and Social Club in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom on Saturday 16th March 2024, that is essential for all Coaches and Cornermen.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALL Coaches are welcome, as these courses are essential for all coaches in our sport whether Professional, Amateur or Unlicensed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cut\/Corner course covers all aspects from weigh-in to post fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subjects covered:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Duty of Care<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Head Trauma Signs & Symptoms<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Coaches\/Corner\/Cutman Responsibilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Cutman\u2019s Tools of the Trade<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Professional Hand Bandaging<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Weight Cutting and Weigh-in<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Working the Corner \u2013 Contest and Sparring<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Types of Injuries and Rules Pertaining to Injuries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Corner Treatment of Bruising, Swellings and Cuts<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Post Fight<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The Course will take place at Stanley Street Sports and Social Club in Worksop, Nottinghamshire on Saturday 16th March 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Times and fees for the course are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    11:30am to 4pm<\/strong> \u2013 Cornerman\/Cutman Course \u2013 \u00a3105 per person<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Photo ID as well as a Passport-Size Head & Shoulders Photo for Certification are required, so please bring with you on the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
