Welcome to the Association of Professional Boxing Commissions Website.
Following discussions between various Professional Boxing Commissions and State Athletic Commissioners throughout 2017, with regard to a world-wide association for those that govern the sport, the Association of Professional Boxing Commissions (APBC) was founded in January 2018.
We believe that the Association Of Professional Boxing Commissions (APBC) has an unprecedented opportunity to unite Professional Boxing Commissions and State Athletic Commissions from around the world in the spirit of unity as well as the desire to create the first truly international standard in Professional Boxing regulation.
The Association of Professional Boxing Commissions is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) through which those that regulate the Sport of Professional Boxing world-wide are able to cooperate and discuss, as well as introduce regulations for the betterment of the Sport and those that compete, especially within the realms of Licensing and Medical Standards, Ringside Health & Safety, Sanctioning and Competition Rules & Regulations.
Whilst full membership to the Association of Professional Boxing Commissions (APBC) is limited to Commissions, State Commissioners, Officials and Championship Boxing Organizations, we believe that membership should be available for all those involved in our beloved sport and as such Associate Membership to the APBC is open to all Professional Boxing license holders, whether a Manager, Promoter, Matchmaker, Coach or Boxer, as we feel that the input of everyone involved in the sport is vitally important, especially within the realm of regulation and health and safety.
As such we invite not just Commissions and Commissioners to join us, but also anyone involved in the Sport as we value your opinion, knowledge and experiences.
